Silvertips Shutout Giants 4-0 Friday Night in Everett

Despite another great effort by Giants’ goalie, Payton Lee, the Silvertips scored 4 goals at the Comcast Arena Friday night to beat the Giants 4-0.

Everett’s Carson Stadnyk opened the scoring with a goal off of the faceoff in the second period.

Vancouver’s Trevor Cheek had a chance on a shorthanded rush, but Joshua Winquist turned it around and scored his second of the game to put the Silvertips up 3-0.

Lee stopped 22 of the 25 shots he faced, with some of his best saves coming against Winquist looking for his hattrick goal.

Reid Petryk scored an empty-netter at 19:55 for the Silvertips.

Next game for the Giants: Saturday, Dec 1st at home against the Tri-City Americans at 7:00pm (CDI “Heroes of Hastings” Night presented by Global BC featuring Trevor Linden where the Giants will honour Trevor Linden as a Hero of Hastings in a special pre-game ceremony and the team will also be sporting special edition 1945/1946 Canucks Tribute jerseys for the second and final time this season.)
