Giants Drop Second Straight Game in Overtime
The Spokane Chiefs tied the game late in the third period en route to a 5-4 overtime win over the Vancouver Giants Wednesday night at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
The Chiefs scored twice in the third period to tie the game at 4 and force the extra time.
Carter Popoff put the Giants on the board with a shorthanded goal in the first period. Trent Lofthouse, Cain Franson, and Dalton Thrower also scored for the Giants.
Payton Lee made 32 saves in the game and the Giants had 32 shots on goal.
Vancouver went 1-for-4 on the power play.
