Brett Kulak Cracks Top 25 In Central Scouting’s WHL Preliminary Rankings
NHL’s Central Scouting released its preliminary rankings Thursday in anticipation of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and Vancouver Giants’ defenseman blueliner Brett Kulak cracked the top 25 among WHL skaters. The 17 year old from Stony Plain, AB, who is in his first full season with the Giants, is ranked 12th among WHL skaters. The smooth skating blueliner has played in all 22 games this season picking up 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points and is a team best +16.
Central Scouting ranked the top 25 skaters and top goaltenders for the Ontario Hockey League, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Western Hockey League and United States Hockey League, which has included the United States Under-18 National Team Developmental Program the past three seasons. The mid-term rankings will be released in January. The 2012 NHL Draft will be held on June 22 at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
