Broncos Sign Doyle to Scholarship and Development Agreement
Swift Current, Sask. – The Swift Current Broncos announced today that they have signed 2007-born defenceman Jaxson Doyle to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
“Jaxson has done a great job for an undrafted player to get to this point and sign an education agreement,” said Broncos General Manager Chad Leslie. “He works extremely hard, keeps things simple and has the ability to defend with some aggression. We feel he will be a good fit for our d-corp down the road.”
Out of Langdon, Alta., Doyle (6’1”/199lbs) spent last season with the Okotoks Oilers U18 AAA club, playing in 35 games. He scored three goals and added five assists for eight points to go along with one assist in five playoff games. Doyle and the Oilers also participated in the Circle K Classic in Calgary during the Christmas break and in five games, Doyle earned one assist.
Doyle also played five games in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Canmore Eagles last season.
