The Saskatoon Blades (14-10-2-0) visit Rogers Place for the first time this season to take on the Eastern Conference’s top Edmonton Oil Kings (19-6-1-1). The Blades are 1-0 against the hosts in the season series after a 4-3 win at SaskTel Centre on October 19. It’s a bounce back night for the Bridge City Bunch after a 9-3 loss on home ice on Friday to the Medicine Hat Tigers. Saskatoon is fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 30 points, ten back of the Oil Kings with a game in-hand.

World Juniors bound
18-year-old forwards David Lewandowski and Dustin Willhoft were named to Team Germany’s preliminary roster for the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship in Minneapolis, MN. Lewandowski represented Germany at last year’s tournament and leads the Blades in points with 26 (7G, 19A) in 24 games. Willhoft has one goal and four assists in 26 games his rookie season with Saskatoon.
100 for DaSilva
Tonight is Dan DaSilva’s 100th career game as a head coach in the WHL. The Saskatoon native served as an associate coach for three seasons with the team between 2021-2024. In the 2023-24 season, DaSilva served as interim head coach in the absence of Brennan Sonne at the U17 World Hockey Challenge. The former Portland Winterhawk went 5-0 and was promoted to head coach ahead of the 2024-25 season. In his first season running the bench, DaSilva led the Blades to a 37-23-4-4 record and was named a finalist for WHL Coach of the Year. DaSilva is 56-33-6-4 in his tenure with the team.

Lewandowski leads the team in points with 26 (7G, 19A) in 24 games. Laing has the most goals on the team with 13. Second-year defenceman Jordan Martin has the best +/- at +7. Gardner boasts a 9-6-2-0 record between the pipes with a .899 save percentage (SV%), 2.92 goals against average (GAA), and one shutout.
