The Saskatoon Blades are looking for an energetic, outgoing, and entertaining personality to become our next in-game host. When fans settle into their seats and the game begins, you’ll be on the mic and big screen at almost every whistle. You’ll be hosting contests, introducing special guests, giving away prizes, and hyping up the crowd.

 

If you love hockey and aren’t afraid to get on the microphone in front of thousands of fans, this could be for you!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Game Day Manager, the In-Game Host will be primarily responsible for the following but not limited to:

· Host in-game promotions, contests, and giveaways during stoppages in play, media timeouts, and intermissions.

· Work with the production team to execute on-screen activations in the arena.

· Engage with fans throughout the stands to create an exciting and welcoming atmosphere

· Conduct live interviews with special guests, celebrities, team alumni, etc.

· Assist in pre-game and post-game entertainment as needed

· All other duties as assigned.

 

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

· Prior experience with public speaking and performing in a hosting capacity.

· Strong knowledge of the Saskatoon Blades and/or WHL.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Must be comfortable performing in front of large crowds and on camera.

· Ability to multitask and work quickly and efficiently in a team environment;

· Ability to improvise and quickly adapt to changing priorities.

· Flexibility in schedule is important to this role as the chosen candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends.
