Knights’ Parsons signs with Flames
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed goaltender Tyler Parsons to a three-year entry-level contract. He was the Flames second round pick (54th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Parsons, a native of Chesterfield, Michigan, is playing his third full season with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights and he has a 21-6-3 record with four shutouts, a 2.36 GAA and a .924 SV% in 32 games this year. The 19-year-old won the Memorial Cup with London last season and he also played for the gold medal-winning Team USA squad at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in Toronto and Montreal earlier this campaign.
