Attack sign third round selection Elliot Arnett
The Owen Sound Attack would like to extend a warm welcome to Elliot Arnett, as he signs his Standard Player Agreement with the team. Arnett was selected in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection Draft as a Third Round Pick, 62th overall.
Coming from Barrie Ontario, Arnett comes to the Attack standing at 6’1″, weighing in at 182 lbs. Arnett started his hockey career with the York Simcoe Express U14 AAA team.
“The Attack would like to welcome Elliot and his family to the Attack organization” Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray states. “Elliot is a bit of a throwback defender who is miserable to play against. He has very good feet and a tremendous ability to play the body. A solid puck mover from the defensive side of the puck and can add to the offence once the puck has entered the offensive zone. We look forward to seeing Elliot at camp in September.”
The defencman most recently played with the Barrie Colts U16 AAA team, playing 31 games with 4 goals, 11 assists totalling to 15 points over the 2023-24 season.
Arnett states that he is ‘eager to contribute to our success and work hard to achieve great things together’ come September’s training camp.
“Signing with the Owen Sound Attack is an incredible honour and a dream come true for me. The moment I signed I was filled with excitement and gratitude. I want to extend a huge thank you to my family, coaches, and teammates who have supported me throughout my journey . As a defenceman, I look forward to bringing a hard-hitting, physical style of play to the team. I can’t wait to get started and to be a part of the Owen Sound community.”
