Sting Assists Make Record Breaking Donation To Sarnia-Lambton Community
The Sarnia Sting community fund, Sting Assists, gathered Wednesday night among peers at Imperial City Brew House to distribute $265,500 to 2022-23 grant recipients.
Sting Assists is built on best practices in sport and community philanthropy, with a made in Sarnia-Lambton approach. The purpose of the community fund is to promote and support local amateur sports, youth programs, and advance education through the provision of community scholarships, growing a presence through support and outreach.
Funds are raised through 50/50 sales both online and in person during Sarnia Sting home games. This past campaign with the support of an energetic Sting Nation, Sting Assists broke an OHL record during game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. Raising a jackpot of $68,210.00. Surpassing their own record of $43,008.00 raised the game prior.
