Call for Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club (KRHC) Board Directors
We are currently seeking KRHC Subscriber Members to fill positions on the KRHC Board of Directors. We invite members of the community to apply and contribute to shaping the future of KRHC!
The KRHC Nominating Committee will lead the Nominations process. The Committee is committed to recruiting individuals who collectively possess a wide range of skills, experience and competencies required by the organization. The Committee will undertake a rigorous process to complete these tasks prior to the elections, including screening, vetting and interviewing potential candidates.
The timeline for recruiting and elections will be as follows:
- April 23rd, 2025 – Call for Nominations for KRHC Board of Directors opens
- May 16th, 2025 – Call for Nominations closes
- May – June 2025 – KRHC Nominating Committee reviews candidate submissions, shortlists and interviews candidates
- June/July 2025 – KRHC Nominating Committee presents slate of candidates to the KRHC Board of Directors
- July 2025 – KRHC Board of Directors approves slate of candidates
- Late July 2025 – Notice of AGM and proposed slate of candidates sent to KRHC Members
- August/September 2025 – KRHC AGM and election held
The KRHC By-Laws stipulates that each Director shall
- Be a paid up KRHC Subscriber Member;
- Be an individual who is at least eighteen (18) years of age;
- Not have the status of bankrupt;
- Not be a person who has been found under the Substitute Decisions Act or under the Mental Health Act to be incapable of managing property; and
- Not be a person who has been declared incapable by any court in Canada or elsewhere

The term for Board members is typically three (3) years. Each Director is eligible for election for four (4) consecutive full terms and afterwards is not eligible for re-election until a period of eleven (11) months has elapsed from the date such person ceases to be a Director.
Board meetings are held monthly in person at The Aud for 2-3 hours per meeting. Virtual participation can be accommodated for most meetings.
Candidates shortlisted to the final stages of the process will be required to complete a criminal background check.
There is no financial compensation for Board members, however, related expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with KRHC’s Board Expense Policy.
