GAME PREVIEW: KNIGHTS vs ATTACK

LONDON, Ont. – Fresh off a 10-7 win against the Windsor Spitfires on Thursday night, the London Knights return home on Friday for their second meeting with the Owen Sound Attack in less than a week.

Who’s Hot?
London Knights (10-5-0-1)

Ruslan Gazizov was bumped up to the top line with Easton Cowan and Denver Barkey and made the most of his opportunity. The Russian winger lit the lamp twice in Thursday’s win, bringing his season goal total to four.

Kasper Halttunen’s first campaign in North America continues to be impressive. The San Jose Sharks prospect recorded three points in the win on Thursday, scoring and tallying two assists, giving him 16 points in as many outings this season. Halttunen also leads the team in power-play goals with six.

Cowan, Barkey, and Sam O’Reilly were magical for London again in Windsor, recording three points each. O’Reilly has five points in his previous five contests, while Cowan and Barkey have extended their point streaks to five consecutive games.

Know the Foe
Owen Sound Attack (7-8-1-0)

Owen Sound is coming off a 5-0 loss to the division-leading Kitchener Rangers and will be looking for a quick start against London.

Deni Goure leads the Attack in goals (10) and points (21) this season and has six points in his last three games.

Sam Sedley, who leads Owen Sound in assists, has recorded nine points in his previous seven matchups but has been held off the scoresheet the last two games. On a talented roster consisting of six players with over 10 points, the over-age defenceman won’t be in a slump for long.

Standings
The Knights remain in the Midwest Division’s second spot with 21 points, while Owen Sound is last with 15 points.

Head-to-Head
London defeated the division rival Attack 3-2 last week in their first meeting this season. Over the previous five years, the Green and Gold are 9-3-1-0 when hosting Owen Sound.
