IceDogs Draft Akil Thomas With 12th Overall Selection
The Niagara IceDogs are proud to introduce centreman Akil Thomas, their first round pick (12th overall) in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. Thomas, a native of Brandon, Florida, spent last season playing for the Toronto Marlboros in the GTHL and stands at 5’10, 159 pounds. He played a key part in the Toronto Marlboros’ success last season by posting 33 goals and 39 assists in 56 games, as the Marlboros made their run to the OHL Cup Championship Game.
