Team-Issued Credentials
To apply for a Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club media credential to attend a 2024-25 regular-season game at the Meridian Centre, applicants must fill out the form below no later than 48 hours before the event to allow time for review. Credentials are available to media and bloggers and will grant access to the media room, press box and post-game media area. Please note that access to the press box is limited and a request must be made in writing to Erik Lomax ([email protected]) 48 hours before the game you wish to attend.
Credential requests will be evaluated on the following:
- Proof of a considerable and consistent readership
- Coverage/publication must feature regular and relevant content to the Niagara IceDogs
- Proof of authorship with outlet
- Maintaining a professional demeanour if granted access (including appropriate dress and professional attitude)
- Credentials will be revoked for inappropriate, unprofessional, or fan-like conduct online or during media availability.
Photography & Camera Credentials
CHL Photography/Camera Credentials
CHL Photography/Camera credentials are required for ALL photographers and camera operators in all CHL arenas.
Please note that all submitted forms are subject to the approval of the Canadian Hockey League.
Please note that all cameras for use in the press box are to be registered at least 48 hours before the start of the game. Location of camera placement is subject to seating of accredited blogger and media seating. To register your camera for use in the press box, please contact Erik Lomax ([email protected]).
CHL-Issued Credentials
CHL Media Passes are only issued to media that provide regular daily coverage of a team at home, who travel on the road, and are intended strictly for this use.
In an effort to effectively control the number of league passes distributed, greater emphasis will be placed on team-issued passes and game-day credentials requested by many online-only media outlets.
Request for IceDogs Photographs
Requests for Niagara IceDogs photographs should be made to Erik Lomax ([email protected]). Please include the photograph’s details and publication date along with an explanation of how the photographs will be used.
Niagara IceDogs images are rights-managed and should not be published, reproduced or distributed without consent. Images are captured by team photographer: Vivid Eye Photography.
Royalty Free OHL Images
OHL Images continues to offer a collection of high-quality digital photography of teams, players, and various special events that are available for free editorial use by media covering the OHL. All images are available as a high-resolution download at www.ohlimages.ca. The site currently offers images from previous seasons, with 2023-24 galleries to be updated throughout the first few weeks of the new season. To download high-resolution non-watermarked images, you must first register for the site through the “Client Area” tab in the sub-menu. Once you have registered, please confirm your email address with Aaron Bell, OHL Director of Images at [email protected] for authorization.
Media/Scout Entrance & Room
All accredited media, accredited bloggers and scouts will access the Meridian Centre no more than two (2) hours prior to the start of the game.
Admittance will only be permitted through the Media/Scout Entrance (Meridian Centre main entrance) located on the 1 David S Howes Way side of the building.
If you are picking up a credential/press box pass, you will do so at the will-call portion of the box office. This policy will be strictly enforced.
We do not have specified accredited media, accredited blogger, or scout parking.
You can access the media/scouts room from the stairwell or elevator (ice level floor) from the Main Entrance
Accredited media, bloggers, and scouts will be allowed access to the media/scouts room before the game. You will be required to show your pass with a valid ID and sign in upon entrance.
