Coulson Pitre Signed to NHL Entry-Level Contract by Anaheim Ducks
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced on Wednesday that they have signed Firebirds forward Coulson Pitre to a three-year NHL entry-level contract. The contract will begin in the 2024-25 season.
Pitre was selected by the Ducks in the third round of the 2023 NHL Draft, 65th overall. He appeared in 55 regular season games with the Firebirds this season and set a new career-high with 27 goals along with 28 assists. Pitre was named the sixth captain in franchise history on January 10.
A native of Stouffville, Ontario, Pitre has appeared in 166 games for the Firebirds over the span of three seasons. He has 75 career goals and 84 assists for 159 points, tied for the fourth-most in franchise history. Pitre’s 75 goals are the fifth most in franchise history.
Pitre and the Firebirds will hit the ice for Game 4 of their best-of-seven series with the London Knights on Thursday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Dort Financial Center.
