Barrie Colts Aquire Oshawa’s 2028 5th Round Pick in Trade with the Brantford Bulldogs
The Barrie Colts have completed a trade with the Brantford Bulldogs, acquiring a fifth-round selection in the 2028 OHL Priority Selection via Oshawa in exchange for forward Aleksandr Sementsov.
Sementsov was selected by the Colts in the first round, 18th overall, in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection. The 17-year-old forward appeared in five games for Barrie during the 2025-26 season.
The Colts would like to thank Sementsov for his time with the organization and his contributions during his time in Barrie. The organization wishes him the best as he begins the next chapter of his OHL career with the Brantford Bulldogs.
In return, Barrie adds another future draft selection to its collection of OHL Priority Selection assets. The 2028 fifth-round pick provides the Colts with an additional opportunity to add a young player to the organization.
The Colts are looking forward to this season as they prepare to open the regular season this Saturday and look toward building for the future.
