QMJHL strategic planning session comes to a close
BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, December 8, 2008 Team Governors and Owners as well as Quebec Major Junior Hockey League hierarchy were in Quebec City last week to take part in a strategic planning session. The three-day event came to a close Friday evening.
The strategic planning session’s goal was to create a three-year business plan (2009-10 to 2011-12) and to share ideas and concepts on a wide range of key operating components: Mission statement, Finances, Hockey Operations, Communications, Marketing and Administration. The strategic planning firm SÉCOR was mandated by the Commissioner of the QMJHL, Gilles Courteau, to oversee the meetings.
"The management of an organization like the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League necessitates a very specific plan brought from the consensus of our members," said the Commissioner. "Once approved by our organizations, such a plan represents an important tool from which we, as a League, can meet and surmount our challenges head-on. I am very satisfied with the results of our strategic planning session and I would like to thank our teams for their valued cooperation."
