3 Things to Watch: Pink Jersey Edition
In order to get you set up for Wednesday’s game against the Halifax Mooseheads, here are three things to watch:
1) Pink jersey night
Wednesday will be pink jersey night inside the K.C. Irving Regional Centre, as the Titan and their fans help the battle against breast cancer.
As to help raise funds, Titan players will be wearing their pink jerseys which will be placed for auction during the game, pink collection hats will be available for people to donate what they can, every little bit helps, and $1 off every ticket sold will be donated to the final charitable sum.
2) On a roll
With a pick up of three points out of a possible four against Charlottetown this past weekend, the Titan find themselves on a bit of a roll. In these two games, goaltender Reilly Pickard has made 66 saves on 72 shots, Christophe Boivin and Vladimir Kuznetsov have each scored three goals, the power play functioned at 28% (going two for seven) and the penalty kill had an 85% success rate (going 11 for 13), thus giving special teams a 113% success rate.
With the Titan being only four points behind Halifax, they will have a chance to swiftly cut this lead in half, but will need to keep this momentum going.
3) Some new faces
New Titan goaltender Marc Audet will be in uniform, having freshly arrived in Bathurst from his time with Kirkland Lake in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. Forward Quintin Lisoway is also expected to be dressed, he whom spent the past three seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League. Keep an eye on how both these young men adapt to their new surroundings, in particular with Lisoway, whom is said to have a similar style of play than current Titan Antoine Morand.
