Downey Ford joins Sea Dogs as Official Automotive Partner
SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs are proud to announce that locally-owned Downey Ford has joined the team as Official Automotive Partner. Downey Ford was the team’s official automotive partner from 2012 to 2017.
“We are excited to have Downey Ford back as our Official Automotive Partner” said Sea Dogs President Trevor Georgie. “Chris (Downey), his family, and his team are proud, local, and community-minded. They have been an active partner in our region for over 50 years and we look forward to working with them closely on bringing this partnership to life for the fans.”
Downey Ford has been in the community since 1950 and is part of Downey Auto Group which includes Crown Collision, Supreme Tire & Automotive, and Downey Credit Solutions.
“Supporting the local community has been a big part of Downey Ford’s success over the past 70-plus years and this year has been one of our biggest yet,” said Chris Downey, President of Downey Ford. “We sponsored nearly every major event including Area 506, the KV music fest, Moonlight Bazaar, and Fundy Soccer.”

But we’re beyond excited to add one more: as the official automotive partner of the Saint John Sea Dogs,” added O’Connor. “As one of the few locally owned dealers in Saint John, we understand that supporting locally owned businesses and events is a critical component to our city’s continued success and we’re honoured to be part of it.”
The partnership is already in motion with the annual Season Ticket Member Barbecue “Sea Dogs Grill” scheduled to take place Tuesday, October 3rd at Downey Ford Saint John from 5:30 to 7pm.
