Sea Dogs In The NHL

 

The Saint John Sea Dogs have seen 21 players go on to play at least one game in the National Hockey League in their history. Defenceman Yann Sauve became the first Sea Dog to appear in the NHL when he suited up for the Vancouver Canucks on February 15, 2011.

NHL Drafted Players

 

The Sea Dogs have had 32 players hear their names called at the NHL Draft. Of those players, the first to be drafted into the NHL was defenceman Felix Schutz who was selected in the fourth round, 117th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2006.

The year in which the highest number of Sea Dogs were drafted was 2015 when seven players were selected. Seven players have been chosen in the first round of the NHL Draft.
