GAME SUMMARY: WARRIORS AT TIGERS
The Warriors will look to get the winning streak started again on Monday. A tough 6-0 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday night ended a six game winning streak for the Warriors. The home team won again, as in this head-to-head match up the home has been victorious in the all games.
The Warriors fell behind in the first period by two. Leier and Labelle scored to give the Tigers the lead. Medicine Hat would add another in the second. Hart scored late in the second and the lead was three. The Tigers would add three more in the third. Two powerplay goals by Parkkonen and Grbavac increased the deficit for the Warriors. Leier added his second of the game to round out the scoring.
Unlike last night the Warriors powerplay only got one chance in tonight’s game, unfortunately, the Warriors couldn’t convert with that advantage. The Warriors did outshoot the Tigers 36-33.
The Warriors will be back in action on Monday. The team will travel to Swift Current to face the Broncos, who defeated the Saskatoon Blades 8-3 in their last game on Saturday night at the iPlex. The game will get underway at 2 p.m. in Speedy Creek.
