Top Ranked Hitmen Defeat Tigers
Medicine Hat, AB – In a battle of Central Division Rivals, the Calgary Hitmen defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 8-4 in the lone WHL contest on Thursday night.
In the loss, forward Tyler Ennis extended his personal point streak to nine games with his 26th goal of the season.
The Tigers managed to skate with the Eastern Conference leading Hitmen, keeping the score tied 3-3 until Calgary exploded for five goals to put the game away.
Scoring for the Tigers were forwards Brennan Bosch, Sean Ringrose and defenceman Bo Montgomery, with his first career WHL goal.
Both Bretton Cameron and Matt McCue added two assists each on the night.
Goaltender Ryan Holfeld stopped 15 of 20 shots before being replaced by rookie Tyler Bunz, who made 20 saves himself.
The Tigers were held scoreless on four power plays, while Calgary scored five times on nine play play opportunities.
