Tigers Upset Calgary
Calgary, AB – Brennan Bosch's 17th goal of the season was the game winner as the Medicine Hat Tigers downed the Calgary Hitmen 4-2 on Saturday night at the Saddledome.
For the second straight night, the Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead only to see the opposing team come back and pull even.
Defenceman Jerrid Sauer, who also added two assists, opened the scoring for the Tigers with his 7th of the season to give the Tigers the early lead heading into the 2nd period.
Colton Grant put the Tigers up by two with a goal in the second period, before the Hitmen came storming back with two goals in less than three minutes. Brock Nixon, on the power play, and Kyle Bortis, while shorthanded, scored for Calgary.
With the Tigers on the power play, Brennan Bosch put the Tigers up for good midway throught the 3rd period, while Daine Todd sealed the victory with an empty net goal.
Goaltender Ryan Holfeld stopped 34 of 36 shots for his 22nd victory of the season.
