Tigers Take Down Rockets
Medicine Hat, AB – Linden Vey scored once and added two assists to lead the Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets Friday night at The Arena.
The Tigers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first 10 minutes on goals Linden Vey and left winger Colton Grant.
Kelowna's Jamie Benn would pull the Rockets within one goal before the period was out with the Kelowna's only goal of the game.
With neither team able to capitalize on many great scoring chances in the second period, the Tigers put the game away with two late third period goals.
Tigers left winger Travis Dunstall and centre Wacey Hamilton would score in the remaining two minutes of the game to secure the win for the Tigers.
Wacey Hamilton would finish the night with a goal and an assist.
Goaltender Ryan Holfeld stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Tigers to record the win. His counter part Kris Lazaruk stopped 26 of 30 shots from the Tigers in the loss.
The Tigers went 1 for 5 with on the power play, while holding Kelowna scoreless on five opportunities.
