Tigers Take Down Ice
WHL GAME SUMMARY – TIGERS TV HIGHLIGHTS
Cranbrook, BC – The Medicine Hat Tigers salvaged defeated the Kootenay Ice on Friday night in 2-1 in battle of Central Division rivals.
With the win, the Tigers keep pace with the Red Deer Rebels – each with 82 points – and remain in 6th place in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Rebels and Tigers meet tonight in Medicine Hat at The Arena. Game time is 7:30 PM and can be heard live on CHAT 94.5 FM at tigershockey.com or watched via webcast at livestream.whl.ca.
Medicine Hat jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Joey Frazer just 26 seconds into the game – his 17th of the season – before Kootenay battled back to tie the game before the period was over.
Tigers forwards Wacey Hamilton then reclaimed the lead for Medicine Hat early in the 2nd period. His 23rd goal of the season stood up to be the game winning goal.
Tigers' goaltender Tyler Bunz (28-19-3-2) stopped 31 of 32 shots in the win.
