TIGERS SIGN BEN BONNI
Medicine Hat, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of 2019 Bantam Draft Pick Ben Bonni to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
“Ben is a smart, two-way defenceman. He demonstrates excellent game sense, moves the puck well, and he is solid defensively,” said Bobby Fox, Director of Player Personnel.
Bonni was drafted by the Tigers in the sixth round, 129th overall in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. The 15-year-old Winnipeg product is currently playing for the Winnipeg Thrashers Midget AAA in the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League (MMHL). He has 13 points (6G, 7A) in 28 games played.
“We are excited to welcome Ben and his family to the Tigers Organization. He is a good, young defenceman with a great pedigree and we expect him to fit in well with the Tigers,” said Willie Desjardins, General Manager and Head Coach.
