Tigers Season Comes To An End

Brandon, MB – The Medicine Hat Tigers season officially came to an end after losing to the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-2 in Game Four.

The Wheat Kings win the best of seven series four games to none and now advance to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Calgary Hitmen.

Friday's contest also marked the final game for Tigers' overage players Matt McCue, Sean Ringrose and Captain Brennan Bosch.

Tigers defenceman Jace Coyle and Travis Dunstall each scored their first goals of the post season giving Medicine Hat an early 2-1 lead before Brandon responded with five unanswered goals.

Medicine Hat rookie goaltender Tyler Bunz allowed three goals on 13 shots before giving way to veteran Ryan Holfeld, who went on to stop 18 of 21 shots.

The Tigers were outshot by Brandon 34-21, while going 0 for 4 on the power play.  Brandon scored twice on four power play opportunities.
