Tigers Fall to Giants

Vancouver, BC – Casey Pierro-Zabotel scored three goals to pace the Vancouver Giants to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers in one of eight Western Hockey League contests on Friday, December 7th.

Mike Piluso, James Wright and Mitch Czibere also scored for the Giants (21-7-1-3), who have won three straight and outscored their opponents 19-4 in the process, while Spencer Machacek and Gary Nunn each chipped in two assists. Tyson Sexmith made 19 saves to pick up his WHL-leading 20th win of the season.

Jordan Hickmott – with a goal and an assist – Tyler Ennis and Thomas Frazee scored for the Tigers (16-12-3-1), who drop their third straight decision.

Tomas Vosvrda and Ryan Holfeld combined for 37 saves in a losing cause.

The defeat keeps the Tigers in fourth place in the Central Division and seventh in the Western Conference.
