Tigers Drop Second Straight
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Kelowna goaltender Derek Yeomans kicked out 35 of the 37 shots he faced, as the Rockets dumped the Tigers 5-2 at Prospera Place in Kelowna last night.
2nd year forward Roman Psurny scored both goals for the Bengals, who dropped their second straight game in regulation for the first time this season. Recording assists was David Schlemko with two, Daine Todd and Chris Stevens.
Responding for the hometown Rockets was Troy Ofukany with a pair of goals, including the winner, while Brent Howarth, Justin Keller and Troy Bodie added singles.
Tigers goaltender Matt Keetley, who was named the game’s second star, turned aside 32 of 37 shots to take the loss.
The home of the defending WHL Champions was the first stop of the Tigers 4-game road trip, which continues in Kamloops on Friday night vs. the Blazers.
