Kootenay Snaps Tigers Win Streak

WHL GAME SUMMARY  –  TIGERS TV HIGHLIGHTS 

Cranbrook, BC – The Kootenay Ice snapped the Tigers five game winning streak with a 6-4 win over Medicine Hat on Tuesday night in a battle of Central Division rivals.

The Tigers were unable to contain Kootenay's special teams, as the Ice managed four power play goals on six attempts.  Medicine Hat, meanwhile, was held scoreless on five man advantages.

Scoring for the Tigers, who trailed 4-0 midway through the 2nd period, were forwards Emerson Etem, Reid Petryk, and Joey Frazer with a pair of goals.

For Reid Petryk, it was his first career WHL Regular Season goal, while fellow rookie Emerson Etem now has five goals in three games versus the Ice.

Medicine Hat netminder Tyler Bunz (17-11-2-2) stopped 23 of 29 shots in the loss.
