Ice Defeat Tigers in Overtime in Game Two
Medicine Hat, AB – Kootenay's Arnaud Jacquemet second goal of the game 33 seconds in sudden death overtime vaulted the Ice to a 4-3 come-from-behind win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday night.
Kootenay now leads the best-of-seven series two games to none heading back to Cranbrook for game three on Tuesday night.
With the Tigers leading 3-2, Arnaud Jacquemet also scored the with less than one second left in regulation time to send the game into overitme.
After Kootenay opened the scoring on a goal by forward Ben Maxwell, the Tigers proceeded to score three straight to build a 3-1 lead. A goal by Kootenay's Dustin Sylvester cut the Tigers lead to one heading into the third period.
Scoring for the Tigers were forwards Sean Ringrose, Mark Isherwood and Travis Dunstall, who also added two assists.
Goaltender Ryan Holfeld stopped 34 of 38 shots for the Tigers, while at the other end, Kris Lazaruk made 31 saves for the win.
