Medicine Hat, AB – The ATB Financial Player of the Week for the past 2 weeks ending February 8th and February 15th is forward Dryden Hunt!

The Tigers played 7 games over the past two weeks going 1-6-0-0 over that span. The first week saw three games played against Eastern Conference leading Brandon and a home and home against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Tigers played well in all 3 games, but found themselves on the short end.

The second week saw 4 games in a greuling stretch of the season of 6 games in 9 days. The week kicked off with a visit from the Regina Pats, a game in which the Tabbies broke their losing streak against with a shootout come from behind victory. The following night saw the Tigers head to Cranbrook to face the Ice, losing 6-3 in that game in which the Ice scored 5 goals in the second period. The Tabbies then had their last back to back home games of the season against Prince George and Calgary. Unfortunately for Medicine Hat, they would drop both decisions, 4-2 and 2-1 respectively.

This is Hunt’s second ATB Financial Player of the Week honour of the 2014-2015 season for the Tigers.

Hunt has been on target during the Tigers slide so far recording 8 points in the 7 games played including a hat trick against the Brandon Wheat Kings in a losing decision. Hunt has been a great pick-up for the Tigers as the 19 year old has 27 points in 21 games as a Tiger since coming over in a deadline week trade with Regina.
