Frazee Becomes A Warrior
Medicine Hat, AB – Medicine Hat Tigers announce this evening the second trade of the day with Thomas Frazee being moved to the Moose Jaw Warriors.
In return, the Tigers will receive a conditional 5th round pick from the Warriors in the 2009 bantam draft.
"We think Thomas is a good young player but he needs to play," said Tigers' gm/head coach Willie Desjardins.
"He was in a similar situation with other players in the past that did not get the ice time he needs to develop. We felt it was better for Thomas to go to a team where he will get a new start," commented Desjardins.
"Thomas showed great character and was a team player while in Medicine Hat. We certainly appreciated that from him," stated Desjardins.
"We would like to thank Thomas and his family for his year in Medicine Hat and wish him all the best in his future," concluded Dejardins.
Frazee spent last season with the Tigers after coming over from the Portland Winter Hawks in a pre-season deal. He had 7 points on 3 goals and 4 assists while posting 25 penalty minutes in 43 games with the Tigers in 2007-08.
The native of North Vancouver, BC is in his third WHL season.
