CHL and Reebok Hockey Launch New EDGE Uniform System
Medicine Hat, AB – The new era of game jerseys has arrived today in the Canadian Hockey League as the Medicine Hat Tigers and the 59 other CHL teams unveiled the new Reebok Edge Jersey in conjunction with the CHL and Reebok.
The Tigers have kept the traditional look of both their white and black jerseys.
"We wanted to maintain the integrity of the look of our jerseys that has been so much a part of the Tigers tradition," said Dave Andjelic, Medicine Hat Tigers' director of marketing and public relations. "We are following in the footsteps of several NHL teams such as Montreal, Detroit, New York Rangers and Chicago who wanted to maintain the traditional look of their jersey. It is evident other WHL teams have had the same thoughts when looking at some of the jerseys from around the WHL."
The Reebok Edge Jersey consists of advanced materials with the following benefits:
- Pro Weight AirKnitTM front pamel for optimum ventilation and breathability
- Four-way stretch mesh for the underarm and back areas provides the ideal balance of ease of movement and ventilation
- XtrafitTM heavy duty fabric provides durability in the high abrasion areas (elbows and shoulders)
New Medicine Hat Tigers Edge jerseys are available for sale at the Tigers souvenir store in The Arena and will be available later this week in The Bay and Zeller's in the Medicine Hat Mall.
The retail price of an adult jersey will be $99.95 and a youth jersey will cost $89.95.
The Tigers will debut the new jersey at their home opener on Saturday, September 19th when they battle the Lethbridge Hurricanes
