Seven goal second leads McKenna/Team Canada to big win at U18’s
Vantaa, FIN – Despite trailing 1-0 and being outshot for the 1st period and early second. Gavin McKenna (Whitehorse, YT) and Team Canada exploded for seven unanswered goals in the middle frame on route to a 8-1 win over Switzerland Sunday afternoon.
McKenna got the Canadians the lead at 5:55 in the second to make it 2-1 leading the team in goals with four on the campaign.

Later on in the period after getting his first primary assist of the game. McKenna would not be denied setting up captain Porter Martone to make it 7-1 after 2.

It’s the third straight game McKenna has had a multi-point game in the tournament, with a tidy four goals and four assists in three games.
The Tigers Rookie of the Year & Co-MVP will be back on the ice Tuesday morning at 10 AM/MT when Canada closes out the preliminary round against Kazakhstan.
