McKenna’s three point effort helps Canada triumph over Czechia at World U18’s
Vantaa, FIN – Gavin McKenna (Whitehorse, YT) had a goal & two assists, in part of Team Canada’s 6-0 shutout win over Czechia Friday.
McKenna notched his third of the tournament late in the third period to put the final goal on the board for the Canadians.

McKenna’s one assist was a primary set-up for Kelowna Rockets F Tij Iginla in part of a four goal first period that set the tone for the rest of the game.

The Tigers Co-MVP and Rookie of the Year for the 2023-2024 season now has four points, (2 goals, 2 assists) in the opening two games of the Tournament.
Canada will have an off-day Saturday before returning to action Sunday morning against Switzerland.
