Draft Pick Signings
RED DEER, AB – Jesse Wallin, Vice-President of HockeyOperations/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced that theteam has signed their top two selections from the 2010 Western Hockey LeagueBantam Draft.
Kayle Doetzel, defenceman, (1st round, 12thoverall) and Cory Millette, forward, (2nd round, 34thoverall) each signed standard WHL player agreements with the Red Deer Rebels.
Doetzel had 34 points (14-20-34) in 20 games with WestCentral Bantam AA’s in 2009-10 and Millette had 92 points (47-45-92) in 24games with the Notre Dame Hounds Bantam AA’s. Both players are not eligible toplay full time for the Rebels until the 2011-12 season.
