Oil Kings announce training camp schedule
Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oil Kings will open training camp on Thursday, September 1 ahead of their 2022-23 Western Hockey League season, the team announced today.
The Oil Kings will have 70 players (41 forwards, 21 defencemen and eight goalies) attending training camp. All on-ice activity will be run by head coach Luke Pierce and his coaching staff at the Downtown Community Arena.
The camp will run from Thursday, September 1 and will conclude on Monday, September 5 with the Oil Kings annual Bob McGill Cup intrasquad game.
Training camp will be closed to the public until Monday, September 5 when fans are encouraged to come down to the DCA to check out the Bob McGill Cup for free.
