Calgary, AB – The Western Hockey League (WHL), one of the World’s finest development leagues with 22 member Clubs throughout Western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest, is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve in the position of Director, Communications at their Calgary based WHL Office.

rThe WHL Director, Communications will be responsible to manage all aspects of the WHL Communications portfolio including media relations; WHL website and internet programming; all WHL broadcast agreements and new technology based initiatives; WHL publications; WHL statistics and results system and other special projects.
r
rCandidates for the position should have experience in hockey or related sports industry and the communications field. In addition, candidates should also possess strong inter-personnel skills, work ethic and background in website technology. A degree or diploma in a communications or related field would be an asset.
