Orban Joins Giants

The Vancouver Giants have recalled defenseman Blake Orban from the Calgary Buffaloes of the Alberta Midget Hockey League. The club’s 3rd round pick in the WHL bantam draft is slated to play both games this weekend for the Giants in Prince George. He is the second 16-year-old blueliner in as many games to be recalled. Brett Kulak played Wednesday night vs. Portland, but returned to his team in St. Albert the following day.
Head Coach Don Hay has being dealing with a rash of injuries on the blueline. Tanner Sohn and Tyler Hart are out until the end of October and Zach Hodder continues to rehab his shoulder after off-season injury.
Vancouver is in Prince George for a doubleheader against the Cougars tonight and tomorrow. Puck drops this evening just after 7:30pm. Pregame show begins at 7:00pm on AM650.
