THEY SAID IT
“I thought we did a pretty good job of getting inside and creating offence early and it didn’t go for us, but we found a way to get it late…Chorney was really buzzing. He came in and created two plays there: stripped some pucks and then found some openings and used his ability. Oreskovic, same thing as well. I think we had looks throughout the game. It just maybe didn’t go in: it got blocked or it missed the net. Then there was a lull where they came at us, but that’s going to happen in any game. It’s the same story, you try to stay even keel in the middle and just keep playing your game and hopefully you get the results.” – Giants Assistant Coach Simon Ferguson
“He’s a player who is mature beyond his years. He’s got great ability. He’s cleaned up a little bit some of his details from the start of the year to now. Now he’s starting to take over and you’re seeing the results of that take place tonight with an excellent performance.” – Giants Assistant Coach Simon Ferguson on Chorney
“He’s a direct player and he’s playing to the best of his ability, which is straight forward, not hoping for plays and using his shot, which is a really good shot. He wins board battles. He does a lot of really good things that can translate to the next level. Usually you see that as a player’s career moves on from 16 to 19, they go through those roles and they figure out who they are and once you do that, then he can be a dominant player.” – Giants Assistant Coach Simon Ferguson on Oreskovic
