Ryan Lin – Round 1, 6th Overall
Ryan Lin was selected sixth overall by the Vancouver Giants in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft. The 5’11” right-shot defender spent last season with the Delta Hockey Academy U15 Green program. In 27 games, the Richmond, B.C. native recorded 17 goals and added 24 assists for 41 points, and added 14 penalty minutes. He also appeared in four games for the U17 team and piled up four assists in that time.
“We are excited to have Ryan and his family join the Vancouver Giants organization,” said Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta. “We look forward to furthering his development and helping him reach his potential, this will be an exciting player for Giants fans in the future. Having Ryan play at the Delta Academy allowed our scouting staff to watch him frequently over the past two seasons and we were thrilled that he was available to us in the draft.”
