GAME DAY: Dec. 4 vs. Regina
Langley, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (11-9-4-0) look to stay undefeated against the East Division this season when they host the struggling Regina Pats (6-16-2-2) tonight at the Langley Events Centre at 7 p.m.
The G-Men are 3-0 so far against Saskatchewan teams this season, after wins over Prince Albert (10-1), Saskatoon (7-6) and Moose Jaw (6-2).
The Giants have started to work their way out of a November funk, a month in which they went 3-5-2 with 55 goals against. Vancouver is now 2-1 in their last three contests, after recent wins over Prince George (4-3) and Seattle (5-2).
The G-Men are still a very strong 8-4-1 on home ice this season, while the Pats are now 2-8-2 on the road, after losing to Victoria last night 7-1. This is the fourth game of Regina’s five-game B.C. road trip, one that has not been kind to them, as they have been outscored 22-2 thus far in three losses to Victoria, Kelowna and Kamloops.
Vancouver is 3-5-2 in their last 10, while the Pats are 1-7-1-1.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
The Player to Watch for the Giants is forward Tyson Zimmer, who recorded a pair of assists last game to reach the 20-point plateau this season in just 22 games (6G-14A). Sunday was the 20-year-old forward’s fourth multi-point game this season, and now has him tied for fourth in team scoring.
Although the right-shot forward has slowed down since starting the season on an eight-game point streak (2G-7A), Zimmer did score twice in a huge 4-3 win over the Prince George Cougars on Nov. 24, including the game-winner. Last season, he surpassed the 20-goal plateau for the first time in his career, finishing the season with 23 goals in 67 games.
The Player to Watch for the Pats is forward Tye Spencer, who leads the Pats in goals this season with eight and is second in points with 17.
He was the only Pat to score last night in a 7-1 loss to Victoria, while also scoring the previous game against Kelowna. The 20-year-old forward had a career year last season with 23 goals and 47 points, surpassing the 20-goal mark for the first time in his career.
The former Kamloops Blazers also recently achieved two major milestones: career point 100, which came in Kelowna on Saturday, and career game 200, which happened a couple weeks ago in Brandon.
