REGULAR SEASON VS VANCOUVER: This will be the lone meeting between the Broncos (12-15-3-2) and Vancouver Giants (8-20-0-0) this season. Last season the Broncos went 0-1 against the Giants in their lone meeting at the Credit Union iPlex.

ROSTER: The Broncos roster currently consists of 26 players. The team has 3 – 20 year old players, 8 – 19 year old players, 5 – 18 year old players, 8 – 17 year old players, 1- 16 year old player and 1 – 15 year old player. Geographically, 13 Broncos are from Alberta, 7 are from Saskatchewan, 2 are from Manitoba, 1 is from British Columbia,1 is from the Czech Republic and 1 is from Finland. There are 11 rookies and 15 veterans on the roster.
WORLD JUNIORS: Finnish netminder, Eetu Laurikainen, earned an invite to Finland’s World Juniors Championship training Camp. He will depart for Finland following Saturday’s game against the Victoria Royals.
TRADES: The Broncos acquired 17-year-old defenceman Brett Lernout from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft Monday afternoon.
PRELIMINARY RANKINGS: Dillon Heatherington and Colby Cave cracked NHL Central Scouting’s Preliminary Rankings. Heatherington is currently ranked 12th amongst WHL skaters, while Cave is listed at 20th.
CALL UPS: The Broncos called up forward Glenn Gawdin Wednesday morning. Gawdin was selected by the Broncos in the 1st round of the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. He has posted 25 points (8-17-25) in 18 games played with the Greater Vancouver Canadians of the BCMML.
The Broncos called up netminder Steven Myland earlier this week. Myland has recorded a 2.44 GAA and .923 save percentage in 13 games played with the North Delta Devils (PIJHL) this season.
The Broncos called up forward Denis Bosc from the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL. Bosc has recorded 16 points (8-8-16) in 18 games played with the Pistons so far this season.
WHL CONTRACT: The Broncos signed forward Jake DeBrusk to a WHL contract. DeBrusk was selected by the Broncos in the 7th round, 137th overall of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.
WORLD U-17 CHALLENGE: Rookie defenceman Brycen Martin has been named to Team Pacific for the 2013 World Junior Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Victoriaville and Drummondville, Quebec. Martin was selected in the 1st round, 2nd overall, by the Broncos in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft..
