City Proclaims “Swift Current Broncos Week”
Swift Current, SKThe Swift Current City Council has proclaimed the week of September 19th-25th Swift Current Broncos Week.
The City made the announcement at City Council meeting on September 7th which was attended by the Broncos’ Director of Business Operations, Jordan Wall and Public Relations Director, Keegan Goodrich. The announcement was made leading up to the Broncos 2010-11 Innovation Credit Union Home Opener on Saturday, September 25th against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
City of Swift Current Mayor Jerrod Schafer says “The Broncos have a strong tradition in Swift Current, we are proud as a city to be home to a Western Hockey League team. We congratulate the organization on their 25th Anniversary Season. The Broncos mean a great deal to our city, and as a Council, we are excited to proclaim the week of September 19th, Swift Current Broncos Week”.
The City was supporting the Broncos season ticket campaign, “Are You Part of the 1986?” by having all the members of City Council wearing t-shirts and by having City Hall decorated with Broncos’ logos.
During Broncos’ week the organization will be holding a corporate ticket challenge and hosting radio remotes on location at corporate partner locations. The Broncos will also be hosting a pre-game party prior to the Innovation Credit Union Home Opener on Saturday, September 25th. The Saskatchewan Roughriders game will be played on the big screen on the curling club floor at the Credit Union i-plex. The party is free to attend and starts at 3:00PM with drink and food specials. There will also be an inflatable bouncy slide and mini stick hockey games for the kids.
Individual game tickets will go on sale Wednesday, September 15th at 1pm.
