Broncos Win First Game of Road Trip
Stepan Novotny opened the scoring in the first period on a Chief giveaway notching his 19th of the season. There was no scoring in the second period. In the third period, Taylor Vause scored his 6th of the year with a short-handed goal putting the Broncos ahead 2-0. On the same Spokane power-play Brenden Kichton would get the goal back for the Chiefs but that's as close as they would get as Mark Friesen was outstanding in the Bronco goal shutting the door late en route to 42 saves for the win.

rOn the power-play the Chiefs were 1-3 while the Broncos were 0-6. Swift Current records their 3rd road win of the season and the team breaks a 2 game slide and is now 17-15-0-2 on the year. The team next travels to Kennewick to take on the Tri-City Americans on Sunday night.
