Broncos sign Nathan Gray to a Scholarship & Development Agreement
Swift Current, Sask. – The Swift Current Broncos announced today that they have signed 2008-born defenceman Nathan Gray, to a Scholarship and Development Agreement. He was selected 74th overall in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.
From Richmond, BC, Gray spent the 2022-23 season with the Delta Hockey Academy U15 Prep team, recording 21 points (6-15-21) in 28 regular season games.
“We just like all the things he does – with the puck, without the puck. He makes good individual plays and skates extremely well,” says Broncos GM, Chad Leslie. “When we watched him play, the viewings were very consistent, we noticed that in a lot of his games, the last five minutes were just as effective as the first five minutes. The compete level and the character are really high. He is a great kid who we feel is going to compliment the right side of our back end.”
The left-shot defenceman joins the Broncos organization standing at 5’11” and weighing 165 lbs.
Gray is the third member of the Broncos 2023 Draft class to sign with the team, joining Sawyer Dingman and Mason Fauser.
