Broncos Fall To Blades
The Broncos fell to the Blades 5-2 tonight in front of a crowd of 2,203 at the Credit Union i-Plex. The first period would end with the Broncos trailing 3-0 as Blades’ Darian Dziurzynski, Josh Nicholls and Marek Viedensky would all find ways past Broncos’ netminder Mark Friesen. In the second period, Andy Blanke would put the Broncos on the board, notching his fourth of the season with help from Trevor Cameron. Less than a minute later, Stepan Novotny would add a single making it a one goal game with assists from Jordan Peddle and Taylor Vause. Unfortunately not soon after Chris Collins would strike back putting the Blades up by two. The contest would remain 4-2 until eight minutes into the third when Dziurzynski would score his second of the night and make it a 5-2 final. Both teams were 0 for 2 on the man advantage. The Broncos had 35 shots on net while the Blades had 34.
