Dyck Signs ATO with Providence Bruins in AHL
Swift Current, Sask. – Broncos goaltender Reid Dyck has joined the Providence Bruins of the AHL on an Amatuer Try Out (ATO) deal as the Calder Cup Playoffs get underway.
Dyck was originally a sixth-round pick, 183rd overall, by the Boston Bruins in the 2022 NHL Draft, and just finished his fourth season with the Broncos.
The 2004-born netminder had a career year for the Broncos, going 25-7-2 in 35 games, earning a 2.70 goals-against-average, and a .911 save-percentage. Dyck also managed two shutouts, in back-to-back games on January 31 and February 2.
In the playoffs, Dyck started all nine games for the Broncos and had a 3.38 goals-against-average, and a .901 save-percentage. He also had a shutout in Game one of the playoffs against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
The Winkler, Manitoba product was named Goalie of the Week by the WHL on three occasions, one of which was in the playoffs, and he was named Goalie of the Month by the league in February.
At the end of the regular season, Dyck was also named to the Central Division’s Second All-Star Team for his efforts this season.
In his career, Dyck has played 106 games, he became just the 10th Goalie in Modern Broncos history to reach the 100 games played plateau. Dyck has 49 career wins to his name as well as a Bronco.
Dyck was originally a third-round draft pick by the Broncos in the 2019 WHL Draft.
