Broncos select Czechia defenceman Jakub Dvorak in 2022 CHL Import Draft
Swift Current, Sask. – The 2022 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft was held today and the Broncos made one selection with the 22nd overall pick, drafting 2005-born Czechia defenceman Jakub Dvorak.
Dvorak, from Liberec, Czechia, stands at a towering 6’4’’ and spent the majority of the 2021-22 season with the Bili Tygri Liberec U20 team, recording 10 points (1-9-10) in 19 games. He also played in four games for the U17 team, scoring six points (2-4-6), and five games for the Czechia2 HC Benatsky nad Jizerou professional club.
The left-shot defenceman also represented Czechia at the U18 World Hockey Championship, suiting up for all six games at the event.
Dvorak will join returning defenceman Rayan Bettahar as the Broncos two import players for training camp in the fall.
