5 Broncos Listed in NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings
Swift Current Broncos defencemen Julius Honka, Brycen Martin and Brett Lernout, forward Colby Cave and goaltender Landon Bowwere listed in NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings, leading up to the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Honka is ranked 11th amongst all North American skaters and 2nd amongst WHL defencemen. The 5’11”, 175-pound product of Jyvaskyla, Finland recorded 56 points (16G,40A), 52 penalty minutes and plus/minus rating of plus-10 in 62 games played this season.
Martin is currently ranked 26th amongst all North American skaters and 3rd amongst WHL defencemen. The 6’2”, 185-pound product of Calgary, AB recorded a career-high 37 points (6G,31A) and 42 penalty minutes in 72 games played.
Lernout is currently ranked 52nd amongst all North American skaters and 4th amongst all WHL defencemen. The 6’4”, 206-pound product of Winnipeg, MB recorded a career-best 22 points (8G,14A), 103 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of plus-7 in 72 games played.
Cave is currently ranked 103rd amongst all North American skaters and 20th amongst WHL forwards. The 6’, 187-pound product of North Battleford, SK nearly doubled his point totals from last season, recording 70 points (33G,37A) in 72 games played.
Bow is currently ranked 29th amongst all North American goaltenders and 6th amongst all WHL goaltenders. The 6’4”, 225-pound product of St. Albert, AB has recorded a 3.12 GAA, 0.901 save percentage and 13-5-2-1 record in 27 games played with the Broncos this season.
